About this tool
Take an old watermark off your own document, such as a DRAFT stamp you added before. The tool removes watermarks stored as watermark annotations or tagged watermark artefacts (as added by Adobe Acrobat and our Add Watermark tool). Watermarks flattened into the page text or images cannot be removed safely.
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove watermarks from documents I do not own?
No. Only use this on your own files or files you are authorised to modify. Removing watermarks from someone else's work can break copyright and contract terms.
Why was nothing removed?
The watermark is probably part of the page content itself rather than a separate, tagged layer, so it cannot be identified safely.
