UK Business Setup

Guidance for founders forming and launching a UK company, with regulated steps handled by authorised providers.

Starting a UK company involves Companies House filing, identity verification and decisions about tax, banking and your online presence. We explain the steps in plain English and help with the parts we are able to deliver.

We do not currently file incorporations or verify identities ourselves. Where those steps are needed, we refer you to an authorised provider and are clear about who does what.

Frequently asked

Do you register companies with Companies House?

Not directly. We explain the process and introduce you to an authorised provider for filing and identity verification. You can also register directly with Companies House.

How much does it cost to register a company?

Companies House sets the official fee, which is shown on GOV.UK and changes from time to time. Any Desirly service fee is shown separately in your quote.

Should I upload my passport here?

No. Please do not send identity documents through this website. Identity verification is carried out by Companies House or an authorised provider through their own secure process.

Can you give tax or legal advice?

No. We refer you to qualified accountants or solicitors for tax, VAT and legal advice.
